Fencing & Snapdragon Seeds
This morning, I awoke to a breathtakingly serene scene – a softly overcast day with a hint of lingering raindrops gracing the earth. The ground glistened with moisture, and as I opened the windows in my home, a gentle breeze brushed against my skin. The invigorating freshness mingled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, filling my senses with an unparalleled delight.
Trade / Leave / Take a Rock 🪨
This morning at the garden, now that we have our “official” garden sign up, I thought it would be best to clean things up a bit around the sign to make it look much nicer. In the process I unearthed a bunch of painted rocks that were buried by the local ground squirrels with the mounds that they formed through the years. As I was putting all of the rocks into place on top and in front of the cinder blocks that were recently donated by S & S Inland Star (thank you Scott P.) a few weeks ago, I thought, “Why not make this area into a Trade A Rock, Leave A Rock, or Take a Rock Area”? There’s so many rocks here that I’d love to see the community stop by to discover all the painted rocks we have on this corner that they can easily walk up to without having to step foot into the garden, unless of course they chose to do so. I was able to fill a container to the left with rocks that have already been painted white on one side. So as I cleaned up the area, a rock pile was born with a mission. To bring our community together with one commonality….The love for painting rocks! 🎨🖌️🪨
Thank you Nathan M, Jerry & Loretta S.
I’d like to thank my nephew, Nathan M., for making this beautiful metal sign for our garden, and to Jerry & Loretta for installing the sign for us. This project has been in our plans for many years (more years than I’d like to admit), but I can finally say….”Our Community Garden feels official!” with the install of the newest addition to the garden. It looks absolutely amazing! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Thank you all for making this garden “official” with it’s new sign! 🥰
