Fencing & Snapdragon Seeds

This morning, I awoke to a breathtakingly serene scene – a softly overcast day with a hint of lingering raindrops gracing the earth. The ground glistened with moisture, and as I opened the windows in my home, a gentle breeze brushed against my skin. The invigorating freshness mingled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, filling my senses with an unparalleled delight.

As I savored my coffee, gazing out of the window towards the mountains, a thought surfaced in my mind. Why was I indoors on such a splendid morning when the garden beckoned with its beauty? With resolve, I finished my cup and decided to heed that call.

There's a particular allure in the scent of damp soil after a rainfall, a subtle symphony of nature's rejuvenation. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it brings a sense of tranquility like nothing else. It's as if the raindrops carry with them the essence of renewal.

Upon reaching the garden, I wandered, contemplating the work that awaited me. One thing led to another, and soon, a charming fence adorned the garden's entrance, and snapdragon seeds found their new home among the earth. As I sit back and marvel at the transformation of this space, I am reminded that none of this would have been possible without the help of a dedicated community. Truly, the saying 'It takes a village' rings true, as it's the collective effort of many that has brought this vision to life, even stretching back years.

Who could have imagined that so many people would come together for such a seemingly modest undertaking? While this corner of the garden may be small in scale, its beauty is boundless, and it promises to evolve into an even more enchanting oasis as the snapdragons bloom. I am brimming with excitement, eagerly anticipating the magic that time will unveil in this cherished space just under our newly installed “official” Highland’s Giving Garden sign.

Thank you to all! ❤️
